I was an author and was to meet a number of people for dinner. I was sitting at a table with my book and a very pretty young woman. She was from Mexico and she was married. She informed me that the boy had confessed. I told her not to worry because he would be found guilty and would certainly be deported. She hoped that the boy would be able to continue to work and study. Three weeks later I was in the victim's home. The police had informed her that the victim's wife needed to come home because she had not shown up for three days. Caught without a password, she became very upset and became nearly distraught. I thought that she would tell the owner of the house that the death of her husband had taken place and that she wished she could come home. Unfortunately she did not make that phone call. I later found out that she had not made the call because she was afraid that the killer had treated her like a piece of meat. She was also promised that the killer had written a will leaving everything to the primary investigator. The police had also informed me that they had found a list of people attending that event. The list included the names of all the guests. It was lengthy, and the police were very careful to make sure that no one on the list was friends or had anything to do with the victim. The list also included the name of the restaurant where the party was being held. After extensive research, I began to realize that the victims description was very accurate. Also, the analysis of the blood group was also spot on. The peroxide levels showed that the killed person had to have been partially exposed to this powerful mixture. Additionally, the dating of the death, and the cause of death were also off. There were several pieces of evidence that pointed to the cook as being the culprit. But there was more to this story than just a pretty face. The wife needed to be eliminated because she was with the killer frequently and there was forensic evidence to show that the two were having an affair. At the same time, the wife's on the job side was also being considered. She was a registered nurse, and she treated the family's children, even taking care of the couple's youngest child. Finally, the killer's accomplices had to be confronted. They were the friends of the dead man. They were enjoying his many mistresses while he lived happily in their neighborhoods. These accomplices were superiors who took orders from him. They were well-to-do types who lived relatively comfortable lives. Then along came the detectives.
